Living Well: Working Well

Platinum Clubhouse, EVE - Paul meets An Taoiseach

Paul meets An Taoiseach

Life is a journey, and the road we travel has twists and turns which sometimes lead us to unexpected places and unexpected people. But in turn it always lead us to our destination.”- Igwe Daniel Kelechi.

Imagine going about your normal days routine and the 'something extraordinary' happened...... You are asked, without notice, to make a presentation to the Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar.  Sounds like a dream right?

Well, this story proves unexpected and exciting things can happen when we least expect them. Paul Cordon, a member in Platinum Clubhouse got a marvellous surprise when he attended the Newbridge Recourse Centre.  He was there to attend his horticulture group and was informed that a very special guest was soon arriving, none other than Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar.

As Paul is an immensely talented poet, writer and storyteller. He was asked if he would be prepared to address the Taoiseach and his delegates and share  one of his stories.  Without preparation or notice Paul took his book of short stories and poems and selected to read an original work called ‘Oh to be an Olympian’.  Paul talent is well recognised in Platinum Clubhouse where he is a member of the publishing group.  Platinum are very proud and inspired that Paul's talent was recognised and that he seized this opportunity.
